The Threshold Institute (June 11 – 22, 2018) is a professional-level dance program giving opportunity to advanced and pre-professional dancers to work with local, national, and international industry leaders, culminating in a performance on the festival main stage.

It includes technique classes with local Seattle choreographers, as well as advanced master classes, auxiliary classes and lectures in the areas of performance, choreography, curation, lighting design, and more, taught by local and visiting international choreographers.

During the intensive, dancers will work with choreographers and create a piece, which will be performed on June 21, 2018 on the main stage at the Seattle International Dance Festival’s “Spotlight on Seattle” series.
